great food but room could use a refresh
The balcony with outdoor seating offered a delightful retreat, enhancing my stay with fresh air and views. Dining in the evening was a highlight, with meals crafted from high-quality ingredients that truly impressed me.
The furnishings in my room felt dated and could benefit from an update.

Consider requesting a room away from the bar area for a quieter night's sleep, as noise can be disruptive.

Had an awesome two nights here! We loved relaxing in the pool and the sauna after exploring the nearby waterfall – such a chill vibe. The only hiccup was the a bit of a wait for breakfast one morning, but overall a fab experience. definitely try the dinner menu! 😊

Perfect for hiking
Had a nice 1-night stay after a long day on the Pennine Way. The boot drying area was super handy, and the room had a cozy bed—perfect for tired legs. Staff were chill and helpful, though one seemed a bit brusque. Breakfast was 1st class! The pool area could use some TLC though.

The room was spacious and really comfy. Big double bed with good quality linen. Everything was clean, and it felt cozy overall. Had nice views over the river. The heating was on point, which was great. Only downside was the shower could’ve been a bit more powerful, but it got the job done. Had all the basics like tea and coffee too.
