Riverdale Hall Hotel & Leisure - Bellingham

The room I had was excellant reasonably new in an annex. Good facilities and clean. The location is very nice and quiet.

Hotel is very dated and in need of re vamping. The carpets are grubby and worn and the decor is in need of TLC. Has great potential but requires investment.

Was this hotel haunted ??????? Had a bad experience in the middle of the night. Glad I didn't pay the £189 per night as I didn't feel this hotel was woth that. The hotel rooms could be brought upto date (dark green very small bathroom) the wardrobes etc looked like they were second hand but the bedding and room were clean although the walls were very thin and we could hear the people in the next room snooring .... even with the TV on !!! Staff however were very helpful.

Comfortable bed, fine bathroom and an iron, coffee and tea making equipment, and a work desk in the room. Great pool, parking onsite. Not to mention excellent wifi! Central location, a 10-15 minute walk from Saint Cuthbert's Church. Lively area.

The units are a nice size and well-equipped with comfortable bed. There is an electric kettle and glassware.

The balcony with outdoor seating offered a good retreat. Dining in the evening was a highlight, with meals crafted from high-quality ingredients that impressed me.

The furnishings in my room felt dated and could benefit from an update.

The bar and lounge areas were not really big enough to cater for the amount of guests staying. We were also dissapointed that the pool was closed for maintenence and that we were not told this prior to arrival. This was the main reason we booked this hotel as we all like a swim.

Consider requesting a room away from the bar area for a quieter night's sleep, as noise can be disruptive.

Very pleasant place to stay, s/pool was good, food very good. Staff very polite & helpful - apart from one lady on Reception who was a bit less than helpful about the s/pool door no & was rather snotty (but then there is always one!). I would happily stay again.

Decor, needs updating and this would make the hotel more attractive to people.

We loved it!, ok, like a lot of hotels, it has been altered and extended with bits added here are there but if you want modern design go to a modern hotel. Our room was lovely, the service fantastic and nothing was too much trouble.
